Chia Energy Gels

A great natural alternative to other energy gels out on the market. Also, I find this easier for my body to digest and a great excuse to mix it up from my usual jelly bean go-to. Chia seeds are a great source of nutrients and can be added easily to all your favourite meals!  Just quietly, I kind of love them!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tblsp chia seeds, ground
  • 1 tblsp coconut oil
  • 1 tblsp lemon juice
  • 1 tblsp honey
  • 3 soft dates
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • pinch of salt

METHOD

  1. Blend all ingredients together until smooth et voila!

This recipe makes 1 gel. If you adapt it to make bulk, the end product freezes perfectly in a soft consistency.
